Merry Xmas 2012!

This year our Xmas is different from previous years as we ve a little bb to play with! It was a quiet Christmas with just RY, bb Rae and myself in our new house. We went to Cold Storage to buy a roasted chic and some raw veg to for a "semi-home cooked" meal RY did the cooking while I bathed and fed bb. It was simple and yet meaningful as this is the perfect Xmas that I've been longing to have .......

2010 Christmas Gifts from Office Colleagues

Every year I'd give something to my colleagues to show appreciation to them.
Previous year, 2009, I gave the ladies musical bear and "christmasy" candies for the men and last year, 2010, I gave everyone a glass coaster individually wrapped by myself.
I've started the sourcing and wrapping in Nov and it's no joke to wrap ~ 100 gifts ......... it took 3 Sundays to complete the wrapping.

This is a pic of what I've gotten from my colleagues for 2010 xmas - the pic is taken in my office.
Yep, this is my room and it is big enough to accomodate a discussion corner where I hold meetings/ discussion with my colleagues/ visitors.
So I layed all the presents on the coffee table for display.

Merry X'mas 2010!

Time files and it's Xmas again!

As usual, RY and myself will be heading to Ipoh for the festive holiday tomorrow afternoon.
We cant start the journey early as we still gotta work half day.
We didnt take leave since it's simply not make sense to utilise 1 day of annual leave as company is giving half day off.
You may wonder why we dont just apply half day of annual leave?
Well, the company policy state that if you didnt come to work on X'mas leave, it's assumed that you're taking 1 full day off and 1 day of annual leave will be deducted from your annual leave entitlement.

Do you find this a petty policy which doesnt make sense?

Christmas Gift 2009

This year I've bought little cute musical bear for all the girls in my company and there're 15 of them and for the guys, I've bought some christmas candies/ chocolate for them to consume in the pantry.
As I thought most of them will be on vacation during the x'mas week, I've distributed the gift early on 18 Dec (Fri).
To my surprise, this week, the colleagues give me x'mas gifts in return.
I've given with no intention of receiving  and this is really a surprise.
Now my desk is full of the x'mas gift display.

What should I give nest year?
I've one year to ponder over it ...........

Mery X'mas!

Today is X'mas eve and the office is very relax ............
The office has declared half day so alot of people come to work since if you apply leave, it gotta be a full day instead of half a day off.

This morning, a colleague bought us free vegeterian breakfast - fried carrot cake, roti prata, mee hoon & bao........
At about 10am, we celebrated birthday for one of the girl as her actual bday falls on x'mas eve..........
We had chocolate cake and some desset wine.

Now, I'm just sitting in the office surfing internet to wait for RY to come fetch me to go Ipoh ........

Yes, we're driving off to Ipoh in an hour's time ............

I'd like to wish everybody a Merry X'mas and Happy Holiday!
