Happy V Day 2012!

I ve been busy caring and feeding Baby Rae and didn't realized it was Valentines Day yesterday until RY gave me a bouquet of roses and wish me Happy V Day!
I was surprised that he still gave me flowers.
I ve heard from friends that their husband stopped giving them flowers with the arrival of babies.
I'm not sure if he will persist but certainly hope that he does .......
Even though I am a mature adult and a mother, deep in my heart there is still the girlish part of me who wants to receive flowers from my man.

He Loves Me!

Just few days ago, I suddenly had the craving to eat Nonya Kueh (local snack usually make from coconut milk) as have not been eating for sometimes.

We were having home cooked dinner last Thurs and I casually commented that it d be nice if we can have a few pieces of the Nonya Kueh as dessert.

My love was so obliging and he went to get from Bengawan Solo immediately after dinner.
The Kueh was sweet and nice and the thought that my love specially went to get for me made it sweeter!
I know he truly loves me ........

Mommy's Love

My mom is very glad that I am doing my own cooking now.

We used to visit my mom almost daily for dinner and at times when she was not cooking, we would eat hawker food.

Now that I start to cook my own meals, mom is really pleased.
I would call her up for cooking tips and ideas of what to cook.
She would also call me up to check how am I coping and even buy cooking ingredients (fish, meat, veg, fruits etc) for me and asked RY to go to her place to collect the goodies.

I think I gotta learn how to do marketing in the wet market for fresh ingredients.
I ve been doing my shopping in supermarket which may be more costly.
Now with single source of income, I gotta learn to manage the household expenditure better.

Loving Couple

MIL has commented that RY and me are very loving and she is very happy for us.

I am surprised that ever since we've lived apart, I'm in MY and RY in SG, we have never argued or quarrelled.
As we only get to see each other during the weekends, we tend to treasure each other better.
This is unlike those times when I was living under the same roof as him in SG.

We spends short but quality time.

Hopefully when I move back to SG, we can be as loving.

PIL Relationship

After spending about a month with PIL, I think I understand both of them better.

FIL is a typical Hakka man, very thrifty (he only sting in himself but generous to others) and also a male chauvinist who expects his wife to be submissive to him.
If MIL doesn't listen to him, he will shout at her and call her stupid!
MIL is a well educated lady who is a retired teacher so she is not a submissive wife as FIL would like.

Frankly speaking, I don't approve FIL's behaviour and feels sorry for MIL whenever he blows his top (don't get me wrong, he doesn't throw tantrums frequently and he certainly has never raised his voice at me. His usually target is MIL - his wife).

MIL being a very understandable wife will not confront him immediately while he is filled with anger, she will wait till he has calmed down then she will reason out to him.

She confides in me that she is not exactly pleased with FIL's but has learnt to live with him for the past 30 years.
She said when they were younger and while her mum was still alive, FIL was vey gentle to her and had never raised his voice at her.
But it changed upon her mother's demise.
She had tolerated FIL's bad temper for the sake of the family.
If not, she would have seek a divorce long ago.

I applaude MIL for her wisdom and tolerance.
I gotta learn from her to learn the trick to sustain a marriage.
I do hope that RY would never be like his dad.
I may not be able to take it if he ever throws his tantrum at me.

I'm sorry, my love ........

I'm remorseful and regretted the harsh words I've told RY during one of our recent fight.
How could I say those words to hurt him?
Well he did use some mean words on me but I shouldn't have retaliated ........

I guess when you're in a fit of anger, you'll say mean words to hurt each other.

I'm feeling really terrible and wish that I didnt say it at all.

I shall remember this painful experience and not to repeat the same mistake again!

When you love somebody, you should not hurt him/ her.

My Man is Busy Cleaning the House Now!

I wont deny that I hate to do housework and it's a blessing that my beloved Husband share the chores!

RY came to SG to study when he was rather young and was trained to be really independent in doing household chores.
Back in Ipoh, he doesnt need to lay a finger to do anything since he's a precious eldest son pampered by everybody .........

I'm glad to have a husband like him .........

I love you, RY!

He Touches my Heart!

RY washes his car himself and he has never engaged anyone to do it for him.

It is not uncommon to see Indian men providing car cleaning service in the housing estate.

Yesterday after dinner at mum's place, we saw an Indian guy busy cleaning the cars in the car park.
We were wondering how much does it cost to engage his service.
So I suggested to RY, why not he pays him to clean his car, so that he can sit back and relax.

RY said: "No I wont pay him to wash my car, I wanna save as my money is for you to spend .........."

I was really happy when I heard him said that.

Bad Fall

I just had a fall while doing my evening jog. The fall is rather bad - bruises on my left knee, both arms and chipped lips ....... blood all over my t-shirt.

Nobody came to help me eventho they saw me fell and they just walk pass me ........

I didnt cry and manage to walk back home to wash up and dress my wounds!
I told myself that this fall is nothing compared to the multiple loss of my precious bb and D&C which I've gone through .........
I ignored the glances and stares from the passer-bys and just continued walking home ......

I've stopped running (but I still do constant brisk walking) for a few months due to the knee problem but yesterday I started to jog as I felt my knee was better so today I went running again.

Maybe it was a bad decision to run consecutively for 2 days after such a long break from jogging ..........

Once I reached home, RY was very worried as I was covered in blood and wanted to send me to a doc to check if stitching is required on my badly chipped lips.
He also get the antiseptic wash for me and help me dressed my wounds after my shower.
Its nice to have a loving hubby to look after you when you're sick or injured ..........

Thanks RY!

Husband should be Participative in the IVF Journey

This morning RY went off to Penang for a 3 days biz trip and will be back on coming Fri.

So it means I'm alone now at home surfing internet while waiting for the laundry to be ready (just put them in the washing machine).

Actually RY should be going on this trip next Wed to Fri but because I need to do my baseline scan next Wed and possibily doing the 1st puregon jab on Fri, which means I gotta go to the hospital twice, so I requested for RY to shift his travel dates.

Although this is my 3rd IVF fresh cycle, I still hope that RY can be with me during those critical day of blood test, scanning etc, this make me feel that he's participative in this IVF journey.

I think its very important for both husband & wife to be involved in the fertility journey and not let wife feel that she's doing this by herself.

During IVF, the wife is the one who suffer physical pain (blood test, jabbing etc) and emotional pain (she's worried about the progress and body response to the medication etc), so the husband should be supportive to show the wife that he cares ...........

So before you embark on this IVF treatment, pls have a serious discussion with your husband to get a mutual understanding of each others' expectation on the roles & responsibility and set the an appropriate standard.
This is to avoid any subsequent disappointments on the husband's less participative involvement.

Its important to stay calm, relax and cheerful during IVF, so wife should try to voice out her concern to husband so that he knows how he can help.

Will you forgive your husband if he cheated on you?

This morning I saw the news headline about SG famous director - Jack Neo's scandalous affair with a young lady - so young that she can be his daughter (he's 50 and she's 22) ........

Channel NewsAsia - Model exposes affair with S'pore director Jack Neo - channelnewsasia.com
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/entertainment/view/1042060/1/.html

I'm rather shocked since Jack had projected a family guy image and had many times expressed his love for his family and thanked his wife for being his life support .............

Mrs Neo had stand up for her husband and openly announced that she had forgiven her husband of 27 years ...........

Why cant men resist temptation of the sweet young things?
When they engage in such an affair, do they ever consider the hurt & betrayal they've inflicted on their wife, who have gone thru think & thick with him ......... she was once a beautiful young thing and chose to settle down with him when he was penniless???

I hope that RY will remain faithful to me.
I dont think I can forgive him if he ever cheated on me ......... I hope that day will never come to make me make such a decision .........

Why RY Raised his voice over the socks and TV?

Before we left for Ipoh last week, I've done some laundry and hang RY's washed socks on the hanger which I also hung my jeans to dry.

I've placed it nearer to the window knowing that RY doesnt like his socks to be trapped amongst the pile of clothes for dry.
Since I know we'll only keep the clothes after a week when we come back from Ipoh trip, I thought it should be ok.

2 days ago when RY kept the clothes, he saw his socks hung in the hangar together with my jeans, he was so furious and he shouted at me.

I was very upset, why he get so angry over a pair of socks ........

Yesterday, TCS 5 showed old MJ concert and we watched for awhile (after our Toro sashimi dinner).
But we both went to have our bath and off the TV (I used the bathroom in the bedroom while RY used the one in living room).
As I finished my bath earlier then RY, I went to turn on the TV to watch TCS 8 and RY upon hearing that the TV is on, he asked me to turn to TCS 5.
I told him, I'll let him have the TV once he's done with his bath and come to living room, which I did.

Once he came to the living room, he shouted at me for being inconsiderate since he wanted to "listen" to MJ's songs.
I told him, I went for my bath 10 mins earlier then him and he could have kept the TV on and no when I've finished my bath and turned it on then he quickly aksed for his MJ's channel.

He got so angry that he went to his study room and slam the door shut.

I'm really hurt, how could he get so upset and raised his voice at me over a pair or socks and a TV programme?
Are they more important then me?

Sometime, it make me wonder if we should stay married ..............
If I'm being inconsiderate

RY is a Stubborn Boy

RY is a really stubborn boy.
He just wont admit his mistake and misjudgement.

I get really angry when he refuse to admit his mistake.

How can I get along with him the rest of my live?
Should I pretend to be stupid and not pin point his mistake?

Its not easy to maintain a relationship, especially when you're staying together.
