Marina Bay Sands

Yesterday was my 1st time to Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
We (RY and myself) went to MBS due to the Invesr Fair 2010 at MBS Convention Centre.

We've been driving along ECP admiring MBS from far and it's a different feeling when we were inside the building itself.

To avoid the traffic mess due to the possible road closure for the YOG (Youth Olympic Game) and the hefty parking cost, we've decided to catch public transport to get to MBS.

As the bus approach the MBS vicinity, the 1st impression we've was "Huge", the MBS is really huge since it houses casino, shopping mall, hotel, museum, theatre, restaruants etc.

You can read up more at MBS website.

After the Invest Fair visit, we walked around the shopping mall, which was not fully ready since many shops are still empty.
I personally checked out 3 shops, a HK based boutique, a French boutique and a local jewellery shop.
I think business must be very slow in MBS as the sales assistant were very hungry for sales when they saw me stepped inside.
Frankly speaking, I was rather "frightened" by their eagerness to push sales which resulted in me walking off without buying anything.

The q at the ground floor entrance to Sands SkyPark was pretty long.
It costs $20 for adult to go up to have a paranomic view of SG.
Would you pay $20 bucks to go up?

We took a walk via the Helix Bridge to Marina Sq for our dinner.
This is a really spectacular bridge and offers awesome view of SG skyline.

As RY craved for a lamb stew, we had our dinner at Secret Recipe for the famous Irish lamb stew and chocolate banana cake for dinner.

It was a nice "Par Thor" trip as it has been years since RY and myself take a bus to town.
It kinda brings back fond memories of our "days of being young" ..........
Same as before, we fell asleep on the bus journey back home but we didnt miss our stop as I was awake in time to woke RY up to get down the bus.

Happiness can be really simple!
